Having heard about the recent re stocking of Grimleys I was itching to get down there especially after was told there were some nice bags of fish being caught including some roach around the pound mark!
Of course the weather on Sunday was atrocious but later on in afternoon the rain subsided so I braved the gale force wind and gave it a hour and half, wow had 5 Rudd and a roach, 3 of the Rudd were between 7and 10 oz and were beautiful fish. A far cry from the last visit we made here last summer when 6 hours fishing produced 1roach and 1perch that both were about 2 inches long!!
Can't wait to get back down there, hopefully the increased feeding of a lot more fish will get the tench moving about and feeding themselves. Just have to keep a eye out for any cormorants but if we end up getting more anglers fish the pond This should help keep them away.
If anyone else reads this and fishes Grimleys, let us know what's being caught, be nice to know if anyone catches any tench
Cheers guys

Been down twice on a Saturday over the last 3 weeks and I have enjoyed my fishing the last time I went was a little harder but still had a few.thanks to the two brothers who gave me some maggots. Loved catching the rudd and roach been some time since I targeted these . It's a lovely spot and everyone who pop's down are very helpful with hints and tips.just need to fix my car and I will be down again
If you don't give it a go you will never know

Been to the small pond Saturday and Sunday. Fish are fickle creatures cos on Saturday nice Rudd on sweet corn fished over castors was all they were interested in, not a bite on bread, luncheon meat or castors. On Sunday nice Rudd again but only on castors nothing else got a bite. Makes it interesting. For a change wanted to try floaters for carp, bought some mixers and they sank. Will try next batch out in sink.
