I had a fishing trip to Grimshaws Lake on Wednesday 15th September. Weather overcast with sunny spells and a light south westerly blowing. I thought this time to vary the fishing methods on peg 6. One rod on a heli rig using a spinner rig and various flavours of 12mm popups fished close to the far reed bed to the left of the peg and the other rod on the bottom using a Krill and Crab 15mm boilies at various distances from about 40yds to 80yds using a pva mesh stick filled with pellets of various sizes throughout the day. Within about half an hour of starting in the morning the boilie rig was away. Landed a 10lb 4oz Mirror Carp then nothing else until late afternoon with a roach on the boilie set up. Both rods were getting interest now and again throughout the day but nothing landed. That's all for this time.
Tight lines Paul
