Thankyou Alan. It would be interesting to hear what other specimens are in the pond. I've heard rumours of large bream & also seen the big roach, but not this past year. Are the tench in there still also ?
PS please leave a few 3 to 5lb carp. They make an interesting challenge on float gear. If anything the reeds require cutting back to enable safer margin fishing, and less lost fish !

It's really nice of you to consider the carpets and armchairs, but they're not required thank you. Just the back filling and levelling of the pegs would be good thanks ;)

Looks like Monday the 29th March is the day we have all been looking forward to - Fishing in all from open again with all restrictions off, the gate at the lafarge end of the complex will be open at 7.00 am - Main gate will be kept closed to avoid queuing onto Tamworth Road until later in the morning lets all hope for decent weather and great fishing.

The site has been cleared of all litter so lets all keep it that way - the 48 hour rule will apply on Grimshaws for the foreseeable future -

One Note of caution - on the Angling Trust website it notes the instruction that overnight stays are permitted for angling only - and therefore cannot be considered as a camping trip - our complex is for angling only not family trips at this time.

Stuart has made a great job of the peg on the North nature on pride lake. Is this a trial thing and something that'll be implemented on other pegs on the lake?

Stuart is always trying to improve the pegs on the lakes and where he thinks necessary he will do this work but he has quite a number of jobs to do in each week so the work on this peg was ideal during the last lockdown - if you see a peg that you think needs this type of work then discuss this with him but bear in mind many anglers like the grassed areas to site their bivivies.
