Elegant grey wagtail adding a ray of sunshine to Pride lake on this winter afternoon.

Hi Andy.
Now that's a cracking photo ain't it. I saw you coming into the gateway when I was leaving earlier. Thought you were going to wet a line for a couple of hours...? Ian

Hi Ian, thanks for the encouraging comments about the photos. I'm a bit of a fair weather fisherman myself (lightweight) so will probably wait until it's a bit milder to get the rods out again. Respect to the two guys on Olvers last night who said they'd done overnighters in -6 degrees last week and one just had a brolly!

For now I'm still enjoying the occasional stroll round the complex, appreciating nature and waiting for those big carp to start crashing out again.

Good Morning Andy.
Don't blame you, I'm very much the same as you far to cold for me over the winter to sit down there, never bothered me when I was younger. Keep the photo's coming Andy, just love em. Ian

The bird feeder on the Grimshaws corner of Olvers seems very popular. In the five minutes I was watching there were robins, dunnock, great tits, long tailed tits and these blues tit and chaffinch queueing up to eat. Good to see them getting a helping hand to make it through the winter.
