Pride of Derby Affiliated Clubs

The Pride of Derby has limited itself to 10 affiliated clubs all of whom are entitled to three free matches per season. Four of the original affiliated clubs ( these were the clubs who continued to support us through their membership through the times of the pollution’s ) are entitled to two River Trent matches and one canal match and the other six clubs have one River Trent match and two Canal Matches. We have a waiting list of clubs wishing to affiliate but these will only be granted affiliation when one of the other clubs withdraw membership.
Match Fishing

The Pride of Derby are considered more of a “pleasure” fishing club than a match fishing organization. Most of our members prefer it this way, they can turn up to their favorite location on the Rivers any weekday or weekend and 99% of the time there will be pegs available where they want to fish.
On the 12 miles of canal that we lease we do allow match bookings as required. In all cases where match bookings are taken notices will be posted at the point of entry advising of the booked match.
Match Bookings.

If any bookings are required for the Trent & Mersey Canal please contact our match secretary Mr. Alan Grimshaw on 01332-811263 or by writing to him at 9 School Lane, Castle Donington, Derby. Alan will be most pleased to help you, the peg fees at present are £2-50 on the canal.
