Following the Government Covid 19 pandemic statement on the pathway out of restrictions yesterday, subject to these recommendations, 29th March is hopefully the end of the strict limitations on our sport activity.
Before we go any further we should all remember those that this disease has taken and has affected so badly and get into perspective our angling limitation concerns. Let’s then look to the better future we will all have as a result of our individual lock down efforts and of the successful vaccinations.
With respect to the massively important Angling there are now clear indications that if all goes to plan we will be able to fully resume in all aspects of our sport on the 29th of March. (as noted in the Anglers Trust update on 23rd February) .
Some will say not early enough but we have been clear all through this pandemic that we as a responsible club will comply fully in all respects with the Government rules and advice.
We anticipate a great season ahead with a full and enthusiastic membership – we are at present working on the site to try and improve the pegs and trimming of trees and drainage systems.( after significant flooding in January/ February )
It is because of the anticipated enthusiasm of our members to get back fishing and the estimated pressure, especially on the Grimshaws lake, that in order to give everyone a fair session on this lake we will have to impose a time limit of 48 hours sessions with no return for 72 hours until further notice.
We thank you all for sticking with us through this most difficult time and we look forward to seeing you all again on and after the 29th March and hopefully never see restrictions again on our sport in the future.bridge media | Nike, adidas, Converse & More
